 A CD that was placed in the microwave for a few seconds.

Yes. I know. It's been done before. I still like it.

Lots of guesses, some guessing correctly that it is a cracked/microwaved cd. Lots guessing that it is oil and/or water or water on a cd. There is no oil or water here, just a cd. The ripples were caused from microwaving it.

Wow..... such amazing colors and contrast. I think the title is very fitting as well. It reminds me not only of cellular division (cell creation) but the famous creation scene from the Sistine Chapel also. Very nicely done!

I expected to see a lot of oily/watery looking photos in this challenge so I was prepared to hate them, but this shot has those really great ripply looking things going on that strike me in a good way. 7
