 I spent a lot of time with my limited PS skills trying to get this photo to have more texture and just generally look better but to no avail. I got one great comment,

one of the few that I have found helpful in a very long time so thanks so much for that, very refreshing!!! This was just a very quick edit using this tool and can do with a bit of refining.

Wow, that definitely jumps out a lot more. I really like this Lori. I'm so glad I was able to help since I'm really not very knowledgeable about PS. Keep up the good work.
