Sculpture by British artist Henry Moore on the grounds of Nathan Phillips Square, Toronto.

The sculpture itself is an abstract titled "Three-way Piece" or "The Archer". I don't know why it has two titles! This is a close-up shot of one of it sides and I picked one that had different surface areas, also showing dimensional depth on the frame.

Shot in raw mode, cloudy day.

Post-processing: levels adjustment, color correction, shadow/highlight adjustment, cropped, resized, usm, border.

Lighting effects used to give more depth and dimension.

Canon 28-135mm IS USM.

Greetings from the Critique Club

Composition: You've done a great job with framing and composition, with the lines leading the eye very well. The textures add to the interest.

Background:n/a

Camera Work: (Focus/DOF/Exposure) The focus is crisp and depth of field is excellent.

Post Processing: the reflections of the metallic surface seems a tad overexposed, but it lends to the abstract quality.

My Opinion: a wonderful capture. You isolation of this most interesting part of the sculpture is a credit to your eye. The piece certainly deserved it's ribbon finish.

If these comments have been of help to you, please let me know by marking them as such. Also, I'm available by PM if you have any questions about this note.

Wow. I love this. I'm not sure what it is I like about it though. I think it's a combo of lighting and color. Your detail is amazing with all the little scratches. I have no clue what this is, but it is very interesting. Wonderful find. 10

A good contrast of textures and shades. Hard to indentify. I suspect, part of a modern sculpture.

This is a fantastic photo. It's easy to get lost in and the color, light, shapes, and textures come together very nicely for a pleasing composition. I like the masculinity here... great work.
