Another astrophoto after quite a long time in a challenge..
I tried to reveal just a tiny fraction of the beauty in Orion's Belt next to Alnitak, the bright star above the Flame nebula (NGC 2024)
I am not satisfied with the result, but I couldn't go longer in individual exposure time, as this was limited from bad seeing and transparency.
I will consider a good score anything around 6.. let's see!

Details:
Telescope : Takahashi FSQ-106ED
Mount : Takahashi EM200 Temma II Jr
Camera : Canon 350D Baader modified
Exposure : 10 x 122 sec at ISO 1600, autoguided with PHD
All frames (10 as mentioned above) were aligned and stacked in DeepSkyStacker for this final composite image.

I gather you must have used something a little longer than a 85mm lesne! ;) Very sharp!

This looks like yours John, I always love these images. The colors are more subdued in this one than in some of your others. I don't know if that's a seasonal thing. But this is definitely worth a 10. Good luck!

I watched a movie this week called Sunshine (//www.imdb.com/title/tt0448134/plotsummary) - about a team heading to the sun to deliver a 'payload'(some kind of atomb bomb or something) because our sun was dying and it would have been the end of life. That movie made me appreciate how small we are. This photo makes me appreciate how small my life is. And why I should live each day like its my last day and make it better than the day before. 10
