I was actually shooting this for the Motion Blur challenge, but decided to forego the basic editing restrictions in favor of making it look as good as I could with a little spot clean up. It is one of my new all time favorite photos.

I love those animals so much, and the day I took this. . .well. . .it was one of those magical "moments" where I just knew that God stirred them up just for me :) It was awesome!
_______

Yayyy! I'm so proud to have an honorable mention in such an amazing challenge! THANK YOU!!!

Sandy,

This might seem forward of me, but as a newbie, I like to look at the portfolios of people on the forum threads as a way to get a feel for who is participating here and what is generally being produced.

First of all, your images are stunning and beautiful - incredible work. I don't understand how you haven't walked away with more ribbons from some of the challenge entries.

Second, I wonder if you would mind if I pointed my high school and college art/photography students at this particulr image "Two by Light" as an example of the perfect blend of art as/and photography? It is simply gorgeous, perfectly framed and captured with every aspect well controlled and presented - an explosion of grace and beauty.

Third - might it be possible to obtain a print? :>)

Fourth - have you considered doing a gallery showing? I have a good friend in San Antonio who has very strong connections to the art community there and I'd be glad to point him to this site, and your own website and see if he could help set something up.

Great body of work - something that I don't have the patience or eye for even after 50 some odd years of photographing the world around me.

Take care - all the best to you and yours.

Later,

Tom

I never commented on this when it was in voting but I scored it in my top 5. Very lovely image. I found that I have just recently taken some shots like this but with no thought of your image. Just now the link to this has been revived and I look this differently now than I did before having recently had a similar experience.

Wonderful capture and blur. Just love your photo and want to comment to counter the inevitable "too blurry" comments you'll probably receive. It's NOT too blurry - it's perfectly blurred and captivating.

Chuck and Dave always were a couple of strange and unique individuals, but on the day they each consumed a couple of cases of Rockstar Energy Drinks and then showed off just how fast they could beat their wings to win the heart of Cathy, well, it was a day that went on to infamy.

Superb shot. Something almost ethereal about it. I gave an 10 for this stunner. I have given only 3 ten's in this challenge.
Ps. I have an entry in this challenge myself as well but it's not really going anywhere.
