thanks for all the great comments on this shot. I had no intention of shooting anything for this challenge but as we were driving through downtown Los Angeles the irony of the sign with the man and all his belongings really struck me. I wish I'd had a better opportunity to get a clearer shot -- this was a quick drive by moment and the original was cropped quite a bit to isolate the subject.

GREAT idea here. I think that the tones could have been better here, but the subject (and title) are fabulous.

What contrasts. The advertisement for Charles Schwab and the homeless man on a bench. I like that you showed some of his personel belonging on the right side of the picture frame. the mans posture show it all. He is totally dejected and lost. What a contrast of life.

Nice irony, I love it! Not sure about the composition but the message in the capture more than makes up for it!

This image tells a real story. Nicely composed....I love that you kept the writing on the bus stop in the image. It says so much. 10

Strong composition... I like the how the man's posture and possessions mimic the graphics of the advertisement. Great stuff.

I may have cropped the right side a bit... But still...the man's stance and the absurdity of the messages in relation to his predicament, very good catch...

great find, great capture, would be a 10 if the technicals were on but they're not quite there so 8. IMO needs more contrast and could be sharper. Still an awesome shot!
