Location: Serangoon, Singapore
Date: Oct 12, 2008
Aperture: F13
ISO: 1000
Shutter: 1/25s-1/400s
Galleries: Landscape, Architecture
Date Uploaded: Oct 11, 2008

HDR shot of a relative rich suburban residential estate in Singapore called Serangoon, the low rise houses that you see probably cost in the range of USD$0.6 - 1MIL dollars.
Shot from a flyover at around 6:45am. Stopped at the shoulder of a flyover to take the shot. Did not want to risk setting up the tripod for fear of being caught by the traffic police. Shot hand-held, bracketed 6 frames which was then processed through Photomatix HDR.

Well, it almost looks 'city-ish' but I'll bite since I've never been out of the US: 10

That cloud on the horizon looks like a mouse eating a piece of cheese :-)

I like the soft coloration.

(Darn typos!)

What a wonderful sky, interesting textures abound - love the colors in the buildings, they echo the colors in the sky - nicely done.

Love the and painted effect on the houses, although I would probably prefer to see more of a blend between houses and sky - they seem almost like 2 separate photos in terms of texture and light.

Great sky but find the very flat foreground PP very distracting - Also the composition is a little boring with the horizon being placed in the middle - i think this works much better cropping quite a bit off the top of the frame.

the sky is great but the rest of the photo is a bit noisy and blurry, with a better sharp i think you could take a higher average... 5
