Amazing light and lines and the touch of red really propels this shot.

Congratulations on the 5th place. This was my top pick, particularly since you were one of the few who actually met the challenge and did it in such an affective and beautiful way.

Cool beans! This was an 8 from me, liked it very much, even though at the time I did not see faces. Now I do, and wow! :)

A good emotional abstract will take on any number of emotions that are assigned to it. I see this now with the word "grief" underneath it, and it's heartbreaking. I'm starting to think there are schools of emotion. Like this image could go with peace, serenity, understanding as well as sorrow, love, or grief. The abstracts I see for "joy" could go with agitation, excitement, love, intensity, maybe even war.

7 - I like the top half of the image but the bottom half is dominated by the harsh chromatic aberration in the darker areas, perhaps check your monitor (I need to re-check mine too after noticing the difference viewing my image on a different monitor than I edited it on). I like your colors and the subtlety and the concept of the fragile dried sheath/shell/skin. (Viewing this on another monitor and can barely discern the issues mentioned above - my apologies (up from 3!)

One of my favorites because it's well photographed, I have no idea what it is, plus it is evocative. Nice one.

I don't know what this is but it should stop me to look. Like the details of the crack and the lights and darks. The red and blue does add drama this this image.

Fantastic Abstraction of grief. Tough challenge to predict outcomes, but I'll be very disappointed if this doesn't make the front page next week since it's actually abstract and the most affective of those that met the challenge.

Looks like onion skin. I'm not sure what emotion it evokes but the photo is beautiful.

In this challenge I've been looking for colour and form to convey the emotion. This absolutely nails it. Excellent use of texture, shape and colour so 10.
