Indeed magical and fairytale like. I never get tired from deer pics like this. It's so very well done. If I had the tiniest of nitpicks ;) that'd be the little spark or glitter in their eyes. If it's from the camera flash, I'd clone those out.

Little did Lil' Davey realize that he was being led, not to the Happy Fun Party that the other boys told him he was going, but to be sacrificed as part of an ancient and most evil ritual.
It was only when the eyes of Danny and Bobby started to glow, that Davey started to panic. |

The catchlights in the middle two deer don't look right...otherwise great lighting.

This is an absolutely amazing shot, easily one of the best in the challenge. I think it would be a winner if you had managed to capture some detail on the deer (either with some fortunate lighting or post processing). Certainly one of my favorites so far.

The only thing I don't care for in this shot is the white glow of the two middle deers eyes - other than that it does embody a mystical feel

I sometimes like to guess. I reminds me of one of my favorite photographers here at DPC: Heneck. The depth of focus is super excellent and the amount of sharpness superb - especially to the point that it brought out a tiny amount of gleam in their eyes. Wow, really excellent. 10 of course. If this is not Hannah, I apologize but look at her work and you might see why I thought it was her.

Very pretty, and yes, fairytale like. The only thing I am unsure about, and for me it is very distracting, is the catchlights in the deers' eyes. I cannot see how they are there, given the way the light is falling, and they are so large and bright that they give the appearance of being holes!
