 This toy (Fisher-Price Rock-a-Stack) brings back many memories. My grandson still considers it as part of his arsenal.

I placed the toy in front of my monitor with displayed B&W image of the boy taken and edited earlier that same day, then captured images.

Rotate image, crop & straighten.
Noise removal with Neat Image - default "remove noise & sharpen" setting.
Convert to 8-bit.
Added curves adjustment layer.
Added selective color adjustment layer.
Added Hue/Sat adjustment layer, set master saturation at (-100).
Adjusted values of selective color to enhance color differences in toy.
Adjusted curves to enhance contrasts.
Resize image to fall within stroke command limits, stroke for borders.
FInal RGB curve for contrast.
Save for web.

This is a great idea, I think the perspective could be improved though, as it looks a little lopsided this way.

Great idea!! This is evocative of both colors and great childhood memories. I love the composition although the border seems a bit over the top to me. Still, one of my favorites of the challenge so far.
