Challenge: Long Exposure IV (Minimal Editing I)

Lens: Nikon AF Fisheye-Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G IF-ED DX
Location: QEW, Toronto, Ontario
Date: Sep 15, 2008
Aperture: f/14

Shutter: 30 sec

Date Uploaded: Sep 15, 2008

This pic was basically just a pic that I have always wanted to take, and now that I have a Fisheye, why not?... I wanted to go up to my cottage and point my camera at the north star and leave the shutter open for a couple hours... BUT no time this week =)

What I did was set my tripod up in the back seat of my brothers Honda Civic and then just fire away... I used the remote to open the sutter and hend the tripod steady with my hand... I would have gotten a better shot If I had this coming weekend to do it... But... this is still good...

I don't think it will do very good, as there will probably be many more others like this that are much better, but it was fun anyways...

-----------------

Wooo Hooo!!! Third ribbon in a Row!!! I almost didn't submit this one!... glad I did!!! Thanks to my brother for taking me for a drive in his Honda Civic so I could take this shot!

Congrats AGAIN!! My gf suggested I do this same shot and I didn't listen to her. It would have been nearly identical as she drives a new model Civic also...... Congrats.

'grats on another ribbon, Eric...great shot. That must be one smooth ride to get clarity like that on a 30-second exposure. Now, don't let all this success go to your head, humility is the key!

Great result - well done! I saw something in your picture that's given me inspiration for a version of my own as well, but it's going to be hard to match your results, especially as you're going to go off and make a less rushed version this coming weekend, huh? :) Oh - and it might have to wait till I get a fisheye...grrr Olympus 8mm...

Great shot, well done for your bro staying still for 30s ... must have been a very straight road. The trailing lights look really cool .... though I was a little annoyed when I saw this shot in the challenge that I knew it was better than mine ;)

excellent kinetic feel of this image - especially how the light flows over the top of the car as seen through the moonroof

Nicely done; the open sunroof and overhead lights add nicely to the image.

Cool. Should have lower the rearview mirro to show drivers eyes. Nice tones. Good luck!

very well done! nicely exposed in the car and fantastic motion outside the car. I love these ultra wide inside the car shots and this is a very good example especially with no editing!
