 I just happened to be poking around some cherry blossoms, thinking to take a photo of them, when I stumbled into this Northern Cardinal. I would have to say being able to get this combo of a beautiful bird with the blooms is a serendipitous find. I know some folks on this site will simply groan at another shot of a cardinal but what they hey….

Beautiful colors and technically very good. Dont know if longer exposure and more colorsaturation would have been better(?). Very nice image.

Lovely combination of colors and great DOF. Focus on the bird is good, but appears a bit dark around the eyes.

Beautiful shot...I would have liked to have seen the righ side cropped a little bit more because to me it is basically dead space.

Vivid colors work very well. Catchlight in the cardinal's eye a plus.

Great composition. Love all the confusing branches and the one spot to focus on. Fits the subject and is visaully appealing. Excellent job.

The serendipity to me is that you got this beautiful red-coated bird to sit in all that pink. Unbelieveably good photograph. Wish you all the best with this. I'll do my part by giving it a well earned 10.

Lovely! You even captured the life-light in the cardinal's eye. I guess the serendipity lies with the photographer, fine with me.

I was always told that red and pink don't go together. No one told this gorgeous bird. Wonderful photo.
