This took a LONG time to do. It was much harder than I had anticipated I expected a few hours of work could produce this image... I was wrong, WAY wrong!

Attempt 1: Set up placed in studio with two major problems, I couldn't place the lighting correctly, every time I adjusted it, it was either too dark, too off center, or I got a reflection of the light on the wine glass. In addition, I could not successfully tape the the multicolored backdrop to the carb board box I was using as a support, there would either be too many wrinkles in the paper, the paper was off center, it was sometimes taped crooked, and there was much difficulty in getting the colors to come out right with the white balances that were availiable on my camera.

Attempt 2: After resting for a while, I gave it another shot, this time discovering that wrapping the paper around the edges of the box would give a better result. But I still had the lighting problem.

Attempt 3: After reading some things online, I tried a different approach at lighting the shot. Instead of trying to light the wine glasses from in-front, why not light them by reflecting off the backdrop. Then I figured out that by reflecting the light, parts of the image were either too dark or to bright. So I tried raising the level of the lamp above the wine glasses, and moving them back so the lined up with my ruler marks. Success!

2. Healing brush to clean up the little messy things.

They seem to be tilting to the right.

Nicely done: a very clean, great focus and well saturated colors.
I just bothers me a bit the water level is not the same on both glasses.
Viva Espana!

the only thing I can critique here is that the glasses appear to be slightly tilted. Makes me want to tip my head to the right when I look at it. Otherwise I really do like it. Great colors, perfect lighting.

The 'problem' with an image like this is that because similar shots have been posted in challenges before they can lose a bit of their impact. I guess this is kinda unfair, because I know I have found myself in the position whereby I have taken a 'typical' image but when it has been the first time I personally have ever taken such a shot (I hope this makes sense). I am trying to mark this as 'fresh' and all I can say is that you did a great job and get a 9 from me

Beautiful...just wish the tops of the glasses was parallel to the top edge of the image.

Subject: Wired? Tired? Expired!

But brilliantly executed.

I don't get the title within the context of the image.
