Last night was another art opening - kids art - they come with their families and are little stars for a night.

This kid was the cutest - she was there with her sister, the artist. I got a bunch of photos of her.

Processed this with Nik Nik Nik - to quote Ken mad_brewer, used two overlays, a tad of Fractalius, and fiddled with the color balance and a bunch of other stuff.

I could process this a billion different ways, and still may, but this is a start.

This is so pretty, it looks like ice, yet she looks so aive and warm in her sundress.

There are a lot of possibilities to process this, and it's a great start. The composition and that diagonal breaking up top and bottom just add so much to this. The girl seems so lost in thought and you've created a great space for her to think in. I'm waaaaay behind in commenting but would love to see this without the overlay.

Nice. I love the lightness and pastels of this one and how the glow that surrounds her draws you to her.

When I first saw the thumb, I thought maybe it was Goodman's. This is wonderful. I love the way this turned out. I can also see it as a stark B&W, maybe. Lots of possibilities with this one, as you say - a GREAT shot to start with, that's for sure.

Very nice shot - and I love the effect the black zig-zag line has.

Her charm melts away the cold emptiness of the vacant space around her...I like those soft pastel undertones!

You're off the a great start! I've already got Nik...and this is the second time I've seen Fractilus mentioned. I think that's what is so fun about digital photography...so many different options and endless playtime.

LOVE LOVE the editing. Almost like she is floating yet we see her reflection. Beautiful - awesome.

OMG - Fan-freakin-tastic. The lines, the composition, the lighting, the processing - just beautiful! INSTANT fave!

Now this is a beautiful picture. Your overlays are nice, but I'm with farfel53, I'd like to see it without. It's such a lovely composition, I don't think it needs anything else.

The title adds a lot. The overlay and coloring add to the uncertainty, though I'd like to see it without. Nice work. I see how you see so many possibilities...

This is wonderful. The dark line with her looking out-frame works really well. The overlay is frosting on the cake.
