 Two flashes set equidistant (same power setting tho one was GN 53 and other 58) from the subject facing into the frame at 30 degrees from the "killzone"...

I was actually inspired (if having a photo in the back of your mind when taking a shot is called inspiration....) by a shot which i think was actually used for a nike ad, tho i only saw it on the webpage of the commercial photographer who took the shot, which in theme is the same but wholly different. Check out Tim Tadder and you will see which shot i mean hopefully as well as some other great shots and flash lighting too.

As for the comments - thanks to everyone who brought things up about the image - the light on the mountain and the road leading the eye made me slam on the breaks when driving through on a recent holiday, it was for the landscape first then i got the running idea.

And i love that it was thought to be one of those icelanders. Just goes to show that scotland is a beautiful place and at least i can fool some people (other than my mum) into thinking i'm a good 'tog ;)

wish the bottom of the shoe wasent covered with stuff, but i like the sun shingin on the mountain in the background, nice colors too

Wow, wow, wow. Love it. Very dynamic. And even the background is nice. Great lighting. Good composition. However, I would have found it more appealing if the shoe had been cleaner (not unrealistically clean, but cleaner). Well, 9.

Caught in the air, this really does convey freedom. Could be an add for jogging shoes! Love the colours and softness of the background. Really well done.
