 I wanted to do something different than take a portrait of a man. I hope you enjoy my take on this challenge. Image was cropped, resized, shadow and highlight enhanced.

This image scored a 4.6???? This can only reflect the lack of creativity and knowledge of the voters.........shame on you the 14 ones.

this image just grabbed me. the strong flash light works in this context, adding a harshness and unblinking gaze to the picture. the face of the man, with the makeup and tears, goes against society's traditional idea of a 'man', yet is obviously male. the composition works extremely well indeed, with the conjoining angles energising the whole piece. a highly charged and emotional shot.

I love this image. I don't know why it didn't score better - excepting the fact that the model is wearing makeup. SO WHAT?

Crude and uncompromising. Very different and it's going to take a lot of people aback, though not necessarily in a good way. A very brave and bold entry - thanks for submitting!
