POST: Thanks everyone for my new PB!

I am especially proud that an 'Out of the box' shot scored so high... Believe me, I've been burned in the past ;)

Thanks to my wife for posing for me in fluorescent makeup in our studio which was about 100 degrees, while she was extremely sick. She's a trooper! :)

Obviously a big factor with not scoring higher was the one eye in the picture; I don't regret my decision though.

I love pictures that work on multiple levels. I knew that this would look strange to most voters, but for those who are fans of 'A Clockwork Orange', it adds something extra.

Overall, I'm very happy with this photo!

----------------------------
In case you didn't pick up on it, this photo is a tribute to 'A Clockwork Orange'; which is way it could also be called 'Ultra Violent Woman'! I'm very happy with the way it turned out.

A lot of effort went into the creation of this photo. When this challenge was announced, I had the title pop into my head. Unfortunately, I knew very little about black lights, UV, and fluorescence.

The photo was lit with two fluorescent black light tubes in strip lights. The hat and hair were sprayed with a special fluorescent hair spray, and the nails, lips, and false eyelash were painted with 'AquaColor', which is fluorescent makeup. In the glass is a mixture of milk and liquid laundry detergent (Which, by the way, glows like crazy under a black light!!).

Editting was pretty simple.. Some curves, a slight crop, some minor cloning, UM, Resize, UM, Save For Web. It came out of the camera looking very similar to the final product, which was very cool.

DPC is fun - you just never know what image will pop up next. It's like finding the good prizes in the old cracker jacks boxes. :-) Fun image, well composed and lit. I hope this does really well. One of my top ten.

Kind of wild and intersting. The missing eye seem to be a little over the top.

Great idea... wish it was a little clearer. Sadly though, ultraviolet is one word so the use of the hyphen is shoehorning one that DNMC.

Good to see something out of the box. The single eye is a bit disconcerting though. Good lighting. Good composition.
