 Didn't have a clue what to do for this challenge. Ended up using champagne glasses with twirly stems. I taped them to tumblers to get the sort of hovering in mid-air look. I chose this one because it was the only one that had a dynamic-ish look. The colours in the background are from my trusty printed out transparent sheets.
Don't have high hopes for this.... it's probably too obviously "triangle".

And thanks for the great comments and score. I was sure this would tank because it started around 5.2 after 10 votes or so, but after a couple of days it had picked up to a 7…. WOW!

Sorry the glasses aren’t touching, they were darn well supposed to ;-) I did so many shots and the glasses kept slipping slightly from under the tape. In some frames they touched and in some not. Unfortunately, the ones in which were touching weren’t as good as the one I entered, so I took my chance with it.
Here’s an outtake of where they were touching (more or less ;-)

I liked the colours but the glass stems look so static.

Oh Wow! What a GREAT start to the day!!!

The idea of using negative space has not been done very much here. Great idea.

Maybe people yearn for simplicity since we're constantly bombarded and over saturated with media from all angles and avenues.

WOW, this must be "Irene Month". What's the record for Ribbons-Per-Month?

Simply beautiful, but technically not a triangle but rather an angle unless the glasses themselves are triangles. Colors and composition are wonderful so, still a 10 to me :)

Very nice. The only thing I would have preferred is to see the blue extend all the way to the lower left corner as I find the white stripe a bit distracting. (I think you could have also cropped it out without degrading the image.)

Love the pastel background, wonderful implied traingle as well. A bit jagged around the edges as well as a bit of haloing but nothing major. 9 from me.
