 Wow a Posthumous Ribbon. Thanks a heap!!!

I was working at the Special Olympic Games here in Austin and about 11:30 I was able to sneak away and grab my camera for a few shots. The sun was starting to get harsh, but I like the way this one turned out.

Great shot Ron, I love the way the runner is captured, both feet of the ground, almost looming over the viewer but with a smile that could lighten the darkest day

Good strong colouring and a real feel good factor about this shot

The first one to grab my heart. No wonder you got the posthumous ribbon. Would've been terrific in "Every Picture Tells a Story," too. :) Congrats!

Didn't have much time this week and I didn't vote for this challenge...

That said...wonderful capture...the expression of joy and the fact that you caught him air borne as he's crossing the finishing line is fantastic.

Posthumous yellow AND 14th place! I'm glad to see this did well!

My fave part about this is that he is floating in air and looking at you at the same time. Wonderful!
