I don't normally go for the pet shots. However this isn't one of the normal ones we see. Excellent Capture. And probably top 3. I love the dogs intense look of concentration. Only thing that kept me from giving this a 9 was his right front paw got chopped. And I may have cropped the width a bit tighter but that's just preference. I still gave it an 8. Nice shot.

If the dog was in the air catching the green thing would be a cool shot this way doesn't do much! Focus is everywhere,(very wide DOF), 2!

Great shot, I love the dog's expression. Possibly a tighter vertical crop would eliminate clutter from around teh subject. Nice work.

Great timing to catch his anticipation! A cleaner background would really help here, I think.

This is a very good study. The intense expression on the dog's face and his focus on the ball are very well expressed.

Nice work... I think a tall vertical composition would do well here also... and a little more open room at the bottom :) = 6

The ball gets a little lost in all the green. I like the dog!

Nice attempted and sure meets the challenge. Really saturated with green, but it's okay.

Great idea, what a concentration that dog is showing. Would be more suitable for a portrait format, so with some parts of the side cropped away.

It's a little grainy, but I really appreciate that *everything* is in focus except the ball in motion. That must have been a pain and I bet you had a lot of takes!

Nice! Great that he's so still whilst the ball is in motion. I think this really would be much stronger if his paw was not out of frame - more attention to composition is needed. Content itself together with colours etc is great.

What a neat picture! I love the intent look the dog has watching the ball which shows motion blur very well. If the focus were a bit sharper and perhaps a bit less green it would be perfect to my eyes.

A different colored ball would help
