Hopefully the photo gives my work justice.

Saw an email with images like this. Can't find the artist who does these right this minute, but I'll look for it.

Done with a 24" x 36" sheet of paper. Only thing glued is the tabs of the cabin.

POST CHALLENGE:
Well, I got on the first page! Found the link to the artist who inspired this image: Pretty Cool Stuff

Here are some pics without the background to see the scale of the project--I really did it with one sheet of paper. If I were to do it again, I'd probably cut the paper into a trapezoid shape so that the back end reached the sides of my frame.

This is amazing. I really like how you converted a 3D picture into a 2D shot. It took some vision to see the finished product. When I was thinking about this challenge, I was in a 2D world to start and would have never envisioned starting with this scene to create my picture - great vision and execution!

I was truly amazed at the artistic talent this took! I thought this was absolutely stunning. You got a 10 from me, and I'm very shocked that it didn't ribbon. Nonetheless, congrats on your "personal best". It is truly well deserved.

Great silhouette work, effective set-up to convey depth. A little more width to allow the crop not to show the side edges of the model may have helped but I still love it.

I like your idea and your paper engineering skills is excellent. But I think the framing on the shot is poor, I wish I couldnt see those gaps on the top left and right of the pic because you can see where it ends, if that makes sense. Like, should've either zoomed in more on what you had or placed more moutains etc aroudn those areas =] 6

Superb - this must've taken you ages. Like the fact that everything is in focus and the minimalist approach works well.

Ha! And people said you were crazy! :) Nicely done - particularly with the lighting which was probably tricky.
