I just looked at your self-portrait portfolio. I really like it. Fantastic work that has inspired me. I've been working on a series that to this point have all been self-portraits. Looking at these have give me inspiration to continue the series in other ways.

Incredible mood here. Your lighting is perfect and the shadow opposite your pose keeps my eyes moving around in the dark. Great composition.

Hey - you got the most comments so far. I'm working backwards.

Super dramatic lighting and composition. Excellent with the overlay. Love it.

It's not fair that you have such a good model to use... Lovely darks, shapes, and textures, including but not limited to the overlay. I sense mystery but not foreboding.

Great moody shot. Lighting is subtle, and even though the highlights are low, they're effective.

This is so you, as you always seem to put your heart and soul into an image, and your black and whites are always appealing to me.....

Also they are very emotive, with a little drama thrown in as well.....

I am so pleased you have joined us in this side challenge, and look forward to seeing many more of your amazing images, if they are anything like this one.....

What a great start mate.....

I LOVE your self portraits - they are so RICH.

This one is no exception - the post processing is just so delicious - the pose just wonderful.

man .. you nailed the moody/atmospheric ..
brilliant shot .. excellent process .. beautiful use of overlay .. subtle and fitting ..
ps .. hot model .. !!..:)

minute later .. just read the other comments .. i couldnt see the hat .. still can hardly see it .. and i thought i'd calibrated my monitor just right .. tipped the top of the monitor forward and now i can see the hat ...

both versions are brilliant .. the very dark with no hat .. and the lighter version with the hat .. :)

Very moody, I wear a hat just like that. Not that I'm moody particularly...

I really like the shadow on the wall, great composition.
