Taken early in morning just as it had stopped snowing. Tripod, cable release. RAW conversion in ACR, increasing the contrast. In Photoshop, decrease the red via curves, boost the whites in selective colour then a touch of Gaussian blur. It's not actually a b&w image but it was a beautifully monotone day:)

However you did this, the composition is full of vigor and depth - the latter due to the cunning placement of the high branches in the foreground. Most original tree-branches photo.
