This is a very orange flower, taken in my desktop studio, and converted from CRW using all the normal settings, except for automatic USM during reduction.

My apologies for the name: The thing is so orange I presumed some would assume I boosted the saturation. I've never seen such a bright orange flower.

This has got to be one my favorite orange flowers ever. I am big orange and black velvet fan and this is gorgeous. Crystal clear and every petal in focus.

Nice simple composition. Color is a little muted. One of my favorites so far.

Beautiful! Nice choice for a black background, it really makes the color stand out. I'd try it with a closer crop, just to see if the petals could grab more of the attention rather than the stem.

I love this picture, but I hate the title (not docking points for the title) The stem is perfectly placed and the soft natural looking light is excellent. Clarity is awesome, its a great entry for the orange challenge.

This is nicely photographed, but I don't think it hopds quite enough interest.

Lighting is very good on this flower, but perhaps not perfect. Where's the stem? I can make it out, but barely. It would have been cool to get the stem to go away entirely. Otherwise, it should be lit enough to show what it is. The soft focus is excellent and I like the transition of color from orange petal to green bud. Overall. it's a 7. Cheers!

I like the simplicity of this. The lighting and off-centering are great, nice choice of background too. 9

Good luck...

I like the back ground and how fresh the flowers are. It is in focus and if this does not get top ten I do not know what will!

Nice job, it's the best of the flowers. Perhaps a bit more light on the stem?

Your choice of background really brings out the colors of the flower. I am a bit unsure about the unnatural look of a black stem. If it's the result of messing with the colors too much, then I don't like it. However, if that flower actually has a very dark stem, then it's fine. Alas, I am no botonist, so I will give you the benefit of the doubt. I only mention this so that if the former is the case, I find that it detracts from the image.

How does 'normal saturation' enhance the title/theme of this image? It's a well done photo... with a decent title, i would have given it a 10.
