Just part of a farm I pass on my way from Kentucky to Camp Lejeune, NC. There are a few other buildings but I really like this barn and the water.

I shot this using a bracketing mode and merged them into WukongBeta but really didn't like the results so I processed a single RAW file and came up with this file. It was exported from WukongBeta as TIFF, then final processing in CS.

PP included:
Selective color adjustments
two different layers of brightness/contrast
a bit dodge tool in the trees
resize
USM
another brightness/contrast adjustment
save

Sorry to everyone for the processing, I really didn't think it looked so bad when I posted it, I guess I should have stopped a lot sooner. On the other hand, this image in full screen size does look totally different...oh well live and learn.

Thank you all for taking the time to comment and vote.

The post processing just doesn't do it for me for some reason.

Oh dear, way to much processing. No longer looks like a photo but maybe that`s what you were trying to do.

Kind of cool, but I'm not sure I like the Post processing in this one.

I'm afraid the only thing I think no matter how I look at this image is that whatever post processing you have done has totally ruined this shot. On a positive note I think this is quite nicely composed but apart form that the detail in the trees, barn and land is completely lost in the poor editing. I wish I could give you tips on how to process your images but I only know the basics, I hope someone else will be able to leave you a comment on how you might improve your post processing skills.

This is just my humble opinion.

Ouch -- waaaaay oversharpened, I'm afraid.

Oi, this might be a really good picture but I can't tell because you trashed it with over-processing.

This feels like an HDR attempt. It's easy to overboard with it. In this case I think you've gone too far ... beyond believable improbability.

I like the subject and composition but this seems overprocessed to me.

it's well framed and the colors look breathtaking, but the heavy handed processing detracts from the shot.

Too much PP. Too sharp, noisy and oversaturated.

I think you overprocessed a bit here.

something doesn't quite seem right, maybe over sharpened?
