 a lovely image, the forced perspective, the angles of his arms, the colours and textures, all just wonderful. plus, i love tanzania, and dimly remember driving through morogoro (we did 15,000k in a small car in 5 weeks...) |

I found this shot very attractive, and much more appealing to me than the blue ribbon of this challenge. Sometimes, I wondered about the votes!
In any events, it is a simple shot, very well framed, wonderful dof (thanks the for the fantastic Nikon 17-55mm lens!), the action is well taken and the atmosphere feels real! That would be a fantastic journalistic photograph.

Really like the point of view on this shop, I just hoped you dont get dinged because there are no fish in site (salting and icing tables is absolutely valid as far as I am concerned for the challenge)

| I bet you're hearing comments like "where are the fish?" It's a well taken shot but would have been far stronger with some fishies in it. IMO? |

| what an excellent pov. i am kinda torn between two choices. (1) his face being in main focus (2) your choice of having his hand and utensil in focus. considering this is an environmental "portrait" challenge, i would prefer the 1st one. i like everything about the photograph, so wont hurt your average score too much, if at all...6 |
