 I took a bunch of recently dried flowers and put them in a vase. Did some arranging. I eventually turned the base a quarter turn to the right to avoid some glare on the vase. This is what I got. I panned the camera in a slow swiggle motion from down to up. Played with the lights to get as much motion as I could...saw this and flipped. It will bomb but I like it.

Post: Camera raw adjustments in PSElements 6.0. Convert to Jpeg. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation. Sharpen. Crop. Resize. Sharpen. Would have loved some dodging and burning but....oh well.

Post challenge: I just wanted to add to the shooting information that the image was out of focus to start with and then panned. Not sure how it would have looked focused and panned but I thought starting out focus would give more leeway with the panning path I used.

don't like the colors all that well but this fits the challenge perfectly. I give an 8 and may bump on further review. Upon further review and in light of the competition I am bumping this up to 10.

OK; I'll buy that title. Thought first of a flaming tornado (is that a drink?) but Medusa definitely works. Nice abstract with just a bit of definition, and some bokeh :-)

The repetitive, choreographed movements are like dance. The color is lively & interesting. I'm thinking of swans & belly dancers. Looks like a smoothly moving camera on a moving subject. 10
