 DVD and an LED flashlight.
Import to iPhoto 08, Crop, Remove 2 dust bunnies, Increase brightness 1/2 stop.
Copy to Graphic Converter for size reduction, Strip off fluff files, Save for upload.
Micro Nikkor 55mm @ f 5.6 with M2 Ext tube. Cloudy day W/B, Film Sim. S2.
Hand held.
I hope that it isn't too sharp for the "Blurry Mess" challenge.

This was a quick and simple shot. It took all of about 5 minutes from pulling out the camera and DVD to having it submitted. I shot it on the desk in front of the monitor on my computer. The flashlight is one of the new 9 LED type, so the beams originate from different points and strike the DVD at different angles. The light was at the outside edge of the DVD.
Here is the shot that gave me the idea, but done with a simple single lamp.

I love the light, colors, and excitement of this image. Thanks for sharing your technique, Wally; I am going to give it a try.

Not sure if it looks like so much of an afterburner to me. More like a rainbow bridge, perhaps. I'm waiting on a colorful animated unicorn to walk into the frame. It's still cool, regardless of my odd interpretation.

Abstract (well duh) and very pretty. Doesn't really look blurred (to me) though. I mean I know it's blur but the lines are sharp and the colours are crisp it could be a sharp photo of a weird plastic object.
