tilted my 10-20mm down from a rooftop on the upper west side. Really liked the way the building looked from this perspective, tried to isolate it through editing, i'm semi-happy with the results.

Another day, I'll ask a friend of mine to knock on the door of the person who lives in the apartment on the right-most part of the screen and ask them if they would let her stand in the window. I think that added-human element would make the photo more dynamic.

My kind of shot. I love this. No people can be seen, but it's full of life. Can't believe it didn't score higher. Congrats on your MOTW.

This was a highly under-rated photo. It is a beauty and going into my favorites.

We usually get a view from bottom up, seeing things top to bottom is indeed refreshing. Nice one :)

Energy/Range/Story: 8/6/6
Composition/perspective/manner: 6/7/7
Aesthetics/Technical:6/6
Presentation: 6
Total: 6.4
Vote: 7

Remarks: I voted 7 instead of simply rounding the number, as I usually do. To my sense, the given aesthetics could be perceived as either gorgeous or horrific in a Hadean sort of way, but stunning in any case, which renders any specific value entered here somewhat meaningless.

Both the near-aerial perspective and grandiose manner appear to have been dictated by the monolithic mass of the central subject. Compositionally, the image is top-heavy -not a bad thing, perhaps, when the main POI is depicted as if floating on molten lava.

refreshing angle on a building shot. interesting contrast between the warm space hemmed in by the buildings and the cold outside.
