 I seem to have some technology jinx hovering over me this week... everything I try to do ends up not working or breaking. So, here's another shot from my hike the other week when we had one of our ice storms.

I guess in some ways, I feel like that leaf some days... weighed down by so much, and just barely hanging on. Hopefully that little bud signifies something good in the future though?

Again, taken with the 50mm and a reversing ring.

You must be using your tripod and/or gorillapod on these - the detail and focus is excellent! This is really beautifully done. I like your symbolism, too.

This is so cool. No pun intended. Love the simplicity of the shot. Very crisp focus but yet the ice is smooth which is what I would expect. Great capture.

A great shot, I really enjoy the colors and clarity of it. It's great that you see the inspiration in the small things....they are all around us. It's good to be seeing more of your great work here again.

Well, you're certainly doing something right in your photography to capture something so amazing. When I feel weighed down, taking a photo as cool as this would usually make me feel stronger.

This is a lovely macro that depicts where you find yourself currently. I also see the strength of this leaf and its ability to bear the weight and stresses placed upon it. I got inspired by your icicle shot so keep up the great inspirational work.

I've been wandering through this macro side-challenge admiring the work and found your portfolio.
Very nice images here. I was especially taken with this one and the seeds. Like your use of color.
(As a previous upstate New York resident, I can attest to the authenticity of that icy leaf! Brrrr)

This says a lot for a macro. New replacing old. Great capture.
