 natural light, hand held, taken in a garden supply center. Leaves' color in the background were switched to black. some cloning to clean up.

Very well done. Excellent contrast between the colors and black. I even like the border select on the redish orange. I hope this does well for you.

OH no! I guess I should have expected flowers! Sorry....just had to....I get that all the time....these are equisute and a type unknown to me which I fine quite beautiful and would love to try my self. Super lighting and detail and the colors are great as well.....My fave so far.

Beautiful. As a magazine cover? A bit big, IMHO. For the orange challenge? A winner.:) Anyway, seriously speaking, I realy like tthis shot. The black background makes your main subjects stand out.

Beautiful colors and crisp focus. Very impactful- and I like the generally diagonal feel of the composition. For the purposes of this challenge, note that Flower & Garden runs their headline from edge to edge right at the top of the magazine, so you should have left more room along the top and ditched the border. (No, I'm not going to beat you up for that).

nice pretty arrangment of flowers.....great color, sharpness, and detail too. I like the way it is composed, and I like the black background. This would make a great magazine cover
