I like this alot. I actually think that the tip of the nose in focus and the way it is processed lends to the illusion that he has his nose pressed against a piece of glass. Lovely tone and well done!

While this is spectacularly evocative and instantly compelling, and simply a beautiful loving portrait, I am eventually drawn to the very obvious point of focus, which is at the end of his nose. I think had this been my photo - and I wish it were it's so lovely - I might have changed that in post. This tends to be one of those things on photographers' lists of stuff they personally avoid, and has little to do with the actual power or success of any one picture. In fact, the minimal point of focus tends to anchor the subject at his face, and on some level succeeds in keeping us in the dreamy confines of this beautiful frame.

The tones in this are beautiful and your composition is masterful. Going to favorites.

Truly inspiring, Erin. Such a beautiful child and you create such a sad wistful image. WOW - can't wait to see what you do in the next one. It's been a joy viewing your work. Straight to favs.

Lovely. The body position (common for children I think, but eventually outgrown) really evokes feeling. I am honestly interested in seeing how your children's facial expressions change over time. And the post feels very delicate and natural (um for grunge that is). Keep showing us.
