Great subject, lousy light. The overcast light really flattens the contrast and color- perhaps you could have boosted the saturation in Photoshop? I prefer the tree on the right cropped out too (unless the red smudge on the tiger's chest is the blood of the last guy who criticized this shot, in which case nevermind). ;-b

Another zoo big kitty shot. He looks like a sub-adult. Great capture and the low/flat light works very well here. Good shallow DOF. Good work.

He does look fierce. Nice shot, and it fits the magazine format; that is, vertical. It could use a little dead space at the top or along the right to give the designer someplace to put the type.

This photo is technically excellent, with good color, sharpness and DOF control. I would have voted this a little bit higher if you had cropped out the artifical construction next to the Tiger, making this look like it was taken "in the wild".

Very nice, good clear view of his eyes, nice and sharp view of his whiskers and coat. Well done!

This is a wonderful photo, although rather 'Zooish'

The wood should have been cropped, it takes away from the subject.

great shot. If youd put a yellow border round it you could have done National Geographic as an alternative (thats a compliment) 10

Cool shot alright and up close and personal. Nice one. Colors are a little light, but the focus and light are very good. Hope you do well.

Beautiful picture. You might have considered mirroring it so he was facing into the magazine. As he is, he's facing the spine of the mag, not that it makes any difference on my score.

very crisp and clean so full marks! I think it really could do with some eye contact and the tiger's pose looks a litle awkward, like he is yawning.
