Suspect this is the real posthumous blue. Just enough form for essence, and that nice little touch where the "scratches" look like fur.

Cat abstraction in pen and ink - the directional motion blur alone should have clued people in that the camera was panned, which fits the challenge perfectly, but not the individual voter's expectations of what "panned" is supposed to look like. I'm with Melethia on this one - this shot and "leaf chaser" would go on my wall.

I didn't vote this challenge - so I missed this. Thanks to Don for pointing it out. This is excellent. This is so "cat". This is abstract but not. I'd hang this on my wall.

i actually liked this one as well. it was unique and interesting. too bad some people are rude and don't get it, unless it is stopped and blown up right in front of their face

The whole photo is out of focus making it confusing and a bad photo

An interesting shot, good but doesn't really meet the challenge.

This has an almost abstract feel to it. I really like it.

Nice as an abstract. Though I like this image, I'm afraid it doesn't really strike me enough as a panned shot.

I really do not get this photo. it is entitrely blurry and can just make out the cat. though it does look cool.

Ummm.... Are you sure you know what "panning" means? If it was your first try I understand, but for it to be a real panning picture the cat should be in focus.

Nice try, but the focus of the picture is blury also. Not creating any movement.

There's certainly motion blur going on and this composition works on some levels. It would help for me if there were some element of the subject that was sharp. Otherwise it looks like a shot where everyting is in motion rather than trying to track along with the subject.

without the title this one would have had me scratching my head. the abstract nature is intriguing, as is the overhead POV. luckily, I'm in the camp where everything doesn't need to be tack sharp. I like this one.

The image is out of focus and hard to tell what the subject is.
