 No crop, conversion in channel mixer, curves, might have diddled w. contrast, USM, sharpen. Not too exciting, but the light was nice.

the darkness of the water to provide substantial negative space balances the lightness of the dinghy well

Yes, pretty sure it does have a tilt; remember wondering how/if I might crop it, but just wanted only so much/just enough dock and line detail.

Simple composition that works well. I think it has a tilt of some sort, probably my eyes are fooled by the dock.

I like the contrast created by the white boat on the dark water, both in tone and texture. There's just the right amount of movement in the water to make it interesting.

You remind me that the rich deep dark blacks and the creamy whites of a good black and white photo really make for classy images. Visually delicious.

I really love the silky dark water and the white boat cutting into it. The hint of light reflecting on this really adds to the scene as well.

Sorta minimal and really quite delicious. Has a lovely calmness, and a bit of anticipation. Lights and darks are perfect.
