Thanks for all the comments! This was my first challenge entry, and it's score reflects reasonably accurately my current skills (complete newbie).

I made the photo in a bit of a rush, hence my hand is in shot and the lighting is flat and badly coloured, but I now know for next time to spend a little more time in preparation! And for those of you who commented on the lack of beer, I tried it with beer afterwards, and it just flattened the reflective curves inside the glass, so I had to drink the beer ;o)

Just seems to be missing something.

very dissapointing lookinginto an empty glass!

The more I look at this picture, the more I like it. I'm suprised by the effect you achieved without using a filter.

Was the inclusion of your hand intentional?

White balance might've cleared up the unnappealing yellowish cast. Cute title.

The hand distracts me. I like how the subject fades into focus in the bottom of the glass.

very creative shot. well composed also. only debatable thing is the gridlike background (?tablecloth). personally would've used a different background. where's the beer? :)

The top of the shot is cut off a bit. Having the whole glass in the picture would be better. Might also look better with a beverage in it, then you could also get ripples of the drink in there for curves

I love the focus. The color pretty much ruins it for me, though.

Where is the beer?

Nice perspective into the glass. Brighter lighting and a more colorful backround might add oomph to this pic. I like how the lines of the canvas (or whatever) distort into curves.

This is an interesting perspective... I would like it better without the hand....

i like this. the circularity is compelling.

You need an ugly woman at the bottom of this glass... or two glasses with an ugly and attractive woman
