Thanks for the comments everyone! I was trying to focus your attention on the face and eyes through the direction of the frogs body, leaf placement, and depth of field. I think that the slightly brighter level in the upper left corner does pull one's eyes away. It was fun and my best rated photo yet!
I would like to see more of these longer challanges as I really do not have the time during the week to participate in the weekly challanges as much...
Oh, if you are interested...the common name of this frog is the "Tiger-Legged Monkey Frog" or the "Barred Leaf Frog". They are not poisonous and use their brightly colored flash markings to attempt to startle any would be predators...

| Do the patches of yellow and balck signify that this is poisonous in some way. He is very agile, is he a tree frog? He has an intelligent expression on his face (perhaps it is a 'she', who knows)? and the picture seems well-balanced. |

| Great composition. Everything in the image leads the viewer's eye to the frog's face: the lines of the frog itself, the shallow DOF, and the leaf on the right that acts as a frame. |

It is one of those wow shots - 10
maybe a tiny bit wider DOF would help with his back legs. |
