Sorry for that title but I have to do that from my boss.
I work for Artifort and Lande Productie Schijndel. This is one of our design chairs we sell, the F978 designed by Geoffrey Harcourt. The original design is from 1968, we took it back in production in 2006 with some slight alterations. It consists of a high gloss white (or black) shell, upholstered with black (or white) leather. The photo is taken in our showroom where we have big white boxlike presentation stands. The model is my colleague Jamie.
it's a shame this is basic editing, the other edited version doesn't have the line of the floor in it.

Lit with softbox on the left and umbrella on the right.

I know, but what can I say. I only got permission if I mentioned the designer because of this exclusive thing...

But thnx :-)

This is awesome! I love that contemporary clean look. I can definitely see this in a magazine.

Does she come with it, or is this a case of "suggested usage only, accessories not included"?

I like the comp and the negative space on this ad. The technicals are perfect. My only issue is that I'm not really sure what the product is. Perhaps a different POV with the chair more prominant could achieve that effect. A really great photo though.

Beautiful clean simple shot. Magnificent lighting control, good cropping.

In an ideal world the line under the base of the chair would be removed - but hey - this is only basic editing : )

My only concern is that the main visible object is a person and not the chair - I even looked up the chair on the Artifort website to see if this was an copy of their style, but alas no . . Still a really nice shot - Im just not sure how much it sells the chair.

Chair contents look good though ; - )

Two much background space, you could illustrate the same concept with a little less background. The subject and the background both being white is intersting, and they dont blend together.

It's not about the chair, the model takes all attention.
Well executed though.
Good luck !

Flawless really. If it where advanced I'd be tempted to clone out the line in the floor but this is wonderful for basic. Very pro looking. Love the lighting, composition, pose. Looks a lot like Idnic's portrait work. The use of the corner is way excellent. Something I want to try in portrait photography after reading more about it in a recent issue of the Rangefinder mag, or was it After Capture. Don't remember exactly, but it was from either.
