I love this! The overlay works great, love the tone, and I love the feeling that the bee is about to fly out of the frame right at me!

The tones and colors are rich and full of depth, and the unique composition is perfect. The flowers somehow balance the bee wonderfully. This is one of those classic images that really stand out in one's mind. It's a "one of a kind" type image, the sort where you see the thumbnail and think "oh yes, that photo... wonderful!!" :D

Very VERY creative use of an overlay x3! I love the basic shot, too.

I love this shot! An excellent perspective and the overlay seems to work well no matter what picture you put it over. Keep 'em coming!

Fantastic! Love the scale, the tones, the blur of the wing. And of course, you can't go wrong with that goodman overlay. :)

Karen,

I also commented on your Dream image:

You have entered a lot more challenges than I have; I don't need to tell you that this is not the kind of image that does well on DPC. Yet, as the positive comments you got on "Dream" indicate, there are a number of us here who appreciate this kind of work.

My reaction to this is very much like my reaction to "Dream": I really like the image but I don't get any deeper meaning that would take it to a higher level. What I see is a bee on the left and flowers on the right. At first glance, the bee is not connected with the flowers, but the arc of darkness at the top brings the bee back around to the flowers. The effect is very powerful.

But is this all there is to this photo?

In looking a just this image, I don't see anything that would bring me back for a repeated look. But now I have seen three of your images that I think of as a series: the sirens, dream, and fade. The whole effect of these is much greater than the sum of the parts. I'm looking forward to seeing more.

This is really nice, love the tone and the draw of my eye from the bee to the flower, like I'm waiting for her to fly across the photo.
