 Very simple setup. Flash on the floor aimed toward a white reflector which aims back at Laine. Eyes show better when you light then from just below.

Basic editing didn't allow for many shenanigans. Levels, decrease contrast slightly, selective color (lighten yellow, darken black), color balance (to add some cyan to Laine's eyes which registered very gray on the picture), then hue/sat to boost the blue and then oversat the red a bit (to compensate for the color balance which shifted everything blue), resize, sharpen. No Neat Image was used in this shot.

Just viewing this one for the first time and Laine and Zoe could still pass as twins. She as cute as pie.

How is this overexposed?

Too many people on this site are scoring images based on some quasi-technical checklist, rather than viewing it for what it is: Art.

This is a gorgeous image with beautiful emotion and technique.

Oh, and the exposure is fine.

This, IMO, is the perfect example of what this challenge was meant to do; show that one CAN produce a wonderful portrait with great eyes without having to rely on heavy post.

(Doesn't hurt when you have a stunning model either :D )
