Interesting (wait for it ...) twist on columns. Sorry; couldn't resist the pun. Nice, different.

One of my challenge faves, so far. Interesting shapes, interesting detail, nicely composed, and I like the play of light and dark "steps". It's good that you are looking straight on and not looking up.

I like this subject; strong structure against a soft sky & the light and shadow amplifies the columns architecture, but I was left wishing there were a third column on the left side of the shot. Maybe a portrait layout would change that. Also, a single column shot smack dab in the middle of this blue sky would be clean, simple & effective as well...then you would have a giant single concrete DNA strand. You could easily have two great shots here if you split the two colums and made two portrait shots - the right column dead centre, and the left column cropped to show a wide blue void on the far right. I'm no expert, but this is what I see as possiblities. One more thing, a longer exposure would have made the clouds more whispy looking reinforcing the strong/soft appeal.

Really neat and it makes me wonder what the columns are holding up. Good composition.

simple and pleasing, but focus not quite perfect (a sin with simple images) - the DoF is fractionally shallow with focus on the rear column.

Neat looking, but lacking. Maybe doing a view down or a view up would've helped.
