This sort of photo appeals to me. The composition and tonal ranges are good, although I am un-decided with regard the graininess. I would prefer the small object just visible in the mouth of the tunnel to be burned in as this would accenuate the idea of the tunnel as a void.

Nice lines - and the lighting hints of object out of frame.

Great the way the lines all lead to the darkness. Graininess works very well.

Would have love to see the train approaching. :)

I like the PP fits this shot to a T, it adds a spooky feel to the compositon you used.

I like the way the symmetry of the tunnel structure is broken by the angle of the photo. It creates converging lines which draw your eye into the photo. I guess if the lines were longer, you'd get a vanishing point. The range of very dark to very light is appealing to me in B&W. The noise works well in the photo as well.

Awesome composition! I really like the fact that your eyes are led to complete darkness...it really makes you wonder what is back there! The tones are so dramatic too...very well done.

This is a neat picture and really makes the mind work. I thought you were looking up the side of a building or shaft of some sort. I like the contrast of the white spots along the wall.

My initial thought was "T-Max 400 pushed to 800". I like the film type grain properties of the image - it works well.

brilliant contrast and shadows

I like the abstract perspective. The two dark shadows make me think of two souls left behind, late for the last train out.

I, too, love the mystery in this; where does it really lead? Where would you go if you walked there, subway trains aside? You've captured the shadows wonderfully here.

The implicit, the hint, and unrevealed, along with the explicit texture are what I consider and learn something of when viewing this.

I like the texture and graininess of this, but I think if you saw the rear end of the train leaving (or front arriving) it would add more to the photo.

Are those shadowss of people? Pretty good results a 1/15 handheld but doesn't realy exite me. Is this cropped at all as I'm wondering if a little of the platform would help any?

Looks like it's been shot in film. The graininess works well for this.

Very interesting. I like how there is the one little ray of light on the bottom left leading out of the tunnel.

Cool picture and I like the sense of "what lurks beyond". It would be nice to see a bit of detail in the shadows.

this looks like something from a 1950s space movie - very cool stuff - the darkness of the image really accentuates the textures

For some reason I am not skilled enough to take photos like this. I always lean towards wanting sharp pictures. What I like about this is that the toning and softness lends to the eerie mood. The lines and patterns also capture your attention.

I really like everything about it. I like the softness & graininess & the pitch black corner - it makes it really moody & a little scary.

B/W photography at its best...Geometry! I guessed 800 ISO before I saw it listed...because of the high grain content. It's a harsh toss-up between...Don't Get the Picture Too Little Light & Get the Picture With Too Much Grain.

I'm guessing, but maybe 200 ISO at 4 seconds on a Bogen tripod (for sturdiness) would reduce the grain. (Low-Light & Night photography are my weakest,...So, this is merely out-loud processing. I hope something here sparks an idea for you.)

Snaps for courage to get great perspective & leading lines! :)

Very VERY COOL, Doc! I am so excited to have a whole year to share and study other people's style and presentation of their artistic side. I love the geometric shapes and the way the lines in this lead you in such an interesting flow -- and I really love how you processed it with an ever-so-slight grain and grunge. It fits perfectly!

Awesome black and white imagery!

Nice effect here, the photo makes me wish to see more of the tunnel. I like the patterns, but there's a lot of contrast.

Hunter-Reminds me of a cargo hold in the movie Alien. The repetitive pattern with the dark beyond has an erie feel. Nice work.

Maybe a bit soft, but that doesn't really hurt this in my opinion. Nice graphical presentation.

I like the concept - it seems a bit grainy in a way that does not serve the image well. I'd like to see the details - handheld? high ISO setting? I would be hard to get a tripod set up on the metro platform most of the time.

interesting perspective and patterns. My eye wants to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Interesting composition, but personally I find the bottom left corner a bit dark and lacking in detail.
