 I love mac and cheese...and it still tasted good after the shoot.

The setup was interesting. First, I had to make a blue backround out of one of my t-shirts draped and pinned on a chair. Then I had to put the bowl on a seperate chair, raised by phone books. A small house lamp went in between for back lighting. The spoon was taped to the tilt adjustment on my old tripod, and my silver reflector was mounted over the bowl using two mic stands. A second lamp ended up being used to fight the shadows that appeared under the spoon. It was quite funny looking to say the least.

The I made the food. And shot the pic. And ate some of the food. Yum.

Photshop was just levels, curves, a color adjustment to make the blue's richer, resize, usm, and save for web. It was quite fun....and tasty ;)

This screams childhood! The detail is sharp and the blue background contrasts nicely with the orange/ yellow noodles. I would be careful about getting too close to your subject, the bottom part of your picture got a little blurry and didn't match up with the sharpness of the top of the photo.

I must have been the only child not to like that stuff. My mother would make it for my brother and sister and I would have something else. Wonderful colours and comp here.

I like how you can see the reflection of the mac and cheese in the bowl on the spoon! The blue background really brings out the orange and yellows! Great job! The only thing that bothers me is that the front part of the mac and cheese is blurry, my eyes are drawn from the spoon right down to that blurry patch. But overall congrats on a amazing picture! :D

nice thinking. I like the idea of food from our childhoods, but not an appealing subject for me as I hate cheese!

The photo itself is very well done, focus, exposure and composition are great! The background also work brialliantly with the cheese.

Right I'm going to end this comment here so I don't have to keep looking at the cheese *spew* ;-)
