Seeking shelter in the falling snow.

Thanks to everyone for the huge number of comments on this one during the challenge. I'd be as proud of calling this mine had it been in last place, as I love the moment & the natural innocence of this once in a lifetime shot.

Brad - I'm speechless at where this finished. This was a straight ten for me.

The string of events that had to come together here for you to get this shot - noticing the shot, getting it despite the weather, getting it despite the lighting under the car, the poignancy of it, the very real battle against nature for this little bird, in an urban setting where his shelter is a car and not a tree . . and of course the capture of the snow drifting across the shot.

What can I say ? Magnificent.

Edit for spelling

The funniest place to see a boidie.. Good use of humor w the Title..

Since this little guy is living in the sticks he's a survivor..

Any port in a storm, as my mother would say. Looks lik he found a place to try to stay warm and a bit dry. Also looks like he's trying to figure when the storm might end. Really quite an interesting picture.

This is a wonderful capture. However, I think a tighter crop would have made a more compelling presentation. Still, for the effort - 8.
