you have the eye of a painter. this is pure ecstasy.
There are several images in this challenge that I am in love with. But this is the one that is like nothing I've seen before. So I'm giving it my personal blue ribbon.

| I like how most of the white birds are kind of watching what the gray/blue one is doing. The crop doesn't feel particularly dynamic, and though it's a nice image, it doesn't really jump out at me. |

| Like brushstrokes! The bits of the white birds really stand out nicely in contrast. The egrets (I think they are) seem somewhat envious of the bird flying over. Really quite an interesting photograph. |

| I recognize those birds :) EXCELLENT choice for a Best of 2007 challenge. I hope it is doing great. I will certainly do my part in giving this the high score it deserves! |

| The processing makes the image look like a painting (which may be what you wanted to achieve). Unforetunately, it does not work for me. You have what appears to be nicely capture nature shot and a well focused sharp image mahy have given it a National Geographic feel. Sorry. Good Luck. 3. |

| Interesting... My first reaction was "Shame about the burnt highlights", but actually, that combined with the post-processing turns it into a rather intriguing impressionistic work of art. Not sure I'm too keen on the composition, but overall it certainly stands out. |
