Taken in September 2007 in Daytona Beach, Florida. During those days, the beach had a beautiful haze to it. I took this photo of the people because they made a nice grouping and I liked the hot pink bathing suit and umbrella. They were looking straight at me, but nobody said anything.

Originally, I was going to submit this to the Impressionism challenge. However, I was staying at my mom's and couldn't get the computer issue straightened out in time for the deadline. So it landed in my portfolio.

This is a reedit: crop, levels, resize, sharpen, levels, color balance, Virtual Photographer soft filter.

I didn't vote on this one, but I really like it. It does have a bit of a mildly overproccessed, dreamlike look to it.

This is stunning, a brilliant take on the normal beach image! I really like this one, it just has that extra something :)

Beautifully seen and marvelously edited! This would make a nice postcard or an even better print in the lobby of some posh Florida hotel. Great shot!

Oh I must have voted too fast because I do not remember this while voting. I love the dreamy, soft effect. It looks like the people there are floating on a cloud. This is so cool!

what a beautiful array of pastal colours and the reflection of the group of people in the wet sand works wonderfully. This has the feel of an impressionist painting, so full of light. Super shot

It's almost glass like! Great use of the haze. You really did a bang up job with this. Lovely colors.

back to bump this one to 9, I like the high key/retro looking processing on this one. Timeless.

i love the reflections and how the people farther away are faded. it very much has the dreamy quality suggested in the title

This is so unreal. I love the fluffy abyss that runs all the way down the middle of this image and threatens to absorb it completely.

I love the dreamlike, soft feel of this one. Looks like a painting.

Nice job on the colors and saturation/desaturation to draw the eye to the little group of people. Looks like a peaceful beach.

Your title at least conveys that you purposely processed the image the way you do, however, I unforetunately do not like the result. Also your angle is not the greatest as it brings in the buildings in the background. With your title, I would have changed the angle to come more from the left where the buildings would not be in the image and you would be looking out at the ocean like your subjects. The processing may have worked better for me from that perspective. Good Luck. 4.

I like the mood set by this image. However, I think more beach (less sky) and a slightly lower angle would give the image more impact.

I like the perspective of the string of buildings, and that the only really bright color is where the people are. The foreground seems kind of washed out, and I feel like the image needs more contrast all the way around.
