Challenge: Childhood Without Children II (Basic Editing)
Camera: Canon EOS-350D Rebel XT
Lens: Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM
Location: kingston ontario
Date: Jan 19, 2008
Aperture: 3.5
ISO: 100
Shutter: 90/1
Galleries: Sky, Still Life
Date Uploaded: Jan 19, 2008

Although there are some very obvious problems with this picture like the yellowish orange light coming from the left, the garbage can in the background and the telephone lines which can all be fixed in Photoshop but sense it was basic editing I had to leave. I think it will do well.

maybe it's just me, but I could definitely imagine the slide into an alien space ship and blasting off into space. And I think the "yellowish light" adds to the vague eeriness of it. very nice!

Maybe it's not fair for a photography competition, but I usually deduct a point for a title typo, figuring it shows lack of care.

Yeah after the challenge started I noticed that and really wanted to fix it this whole week, wasn't because of lack of care more lack of time. you really shouldn't deduct points for spelling errors in titles as you never know if the artists meant to miss spell it.

There is too much background space, it draws away from the slide.

Great long exposure shot. It has a very lonely quality while still being full of color.

Where the children played? Nice shot, the lens flare actually works really well.

I think you meant "Where" the Children Played.

Great image, seems a little bit too processed to be 'basic processing', I am don't know your workflow so I may be wrong. Love the sky!
