 Just 1 mile south of my house is a California State Park called Montana de Oro. It's 8000 acres with 7 miles of coastline. It has many hiking trails. It's beautiful! This pic is taken at Spooner's Cove, one of the more accessible beaches. Notice the terrific rock formations, the blue, blue water, and the egret in the upper right. Nice, right?

We have just learned that it is on Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's list of state parks that could be closed as part of new budget cuts. We aren't sure if that means no access or that they just cut services, like closing the campground and toilets. I am really saddened by this possibility.

That is an amazing rock formation on the right. Looks like a tectonic plates meeting place.

Ah ha looking at things out of order.. I see the same bird on the cliff here..
Amazing view and fabulous depiction of it.. Deep blue ocean, clear blue sky set off by the cliff..

The lines in this are great. I particularly like the way that the strata in the foreground rock formation meet the horizon at such an angle.
