My wife and I are in the process of moving and intend to rent our old house until the property value increases. This empty bookshelf was very much the corner of my world.

Thanks for the input, as always. :) I see this time around that I wasn't adept at providing a focal point or "subject" for my shot. Still, I like my framing and do appreciate the variety of textures -- though admittedly, the "wow factor," if there is one, is not pronounced; I had intended to showcase an abstract expression of shape and tone. We'll miss this old house, I think, but we're very happy with the new one.

too familiar with this look. You've composed this rather drab scene very well, so it gains more attention than it perhaps deserves. Good job!

I am not sure what the subject of the picture is, or if it has one. Sorry, but it is not very interesting.

Nice idea to capture the diverse stuff over two rooms. Not sure you really got it though... maybe if the shelves weren't empty, or if the left most cabinet door were ajar??? 5 sjgleah

Interesting interpretation of the challnege, but not all that interesting or compelling, I'm afraid...

I like how it shows the character of the building without showing the building...if you know what I mean.
