Elegant juxtaposition! Nice result too.

The fact that the people have stopped to look at the car in the rain (one w/o umbrella) really adds a nice subliminal message to this. Without the people this is merely a great shot.

Classic, gorgeous, and really nice to put it in context. Lovely work, my dear! Edit to add I just read through the comments and put me down in the "I love the people there!" category. Not the same shot without 'em.

Nice processing on this, and absolutely fantastic car (T-birds were always my favorite).

I don't much like the color of the car and pavement, but I love the buildings in the background.

Beautiful car!! Loves the soft nostalgic tones of this shot. I might suggest cropping a bit off the top of the photo, cause I'm not sure it's necessary. But nice job!!

If only those people werent in the picture it would have finished this picture off nicely.

Nice tones that fit with the generation of the car!

Something about this makes this feel as if it's a model car in a city street scene. I like your color tones here. BB

I love the vintage pp you did...how did you do it? Oh, and a lovely car too.

My favorite of the challenge. Not only is it a classic car, the tones and the setting are evocative of the '50s ... I could definitely see this as a full page ad in LIFE or LOOK magazine. 10

Nice combination of elements and colour. Good umbrellas, person at rear of car not so good, but this has a refreshingly unusual feel.

The processing on this is as classy as the automobile. Best in Challenge.

I'd love to know how you processed this. Looks very vintage

with the bad background and the lack of sharpness, this pic creates the apearance of a snap shot.

Oooh, tailfins. I'd love to see those come back in style. Nice partial desaturation, and the folksover on the sidewalk looking at the car are a positive thing. The beads of water on the car look like camera noise or some digital artifacts, but that is only due to the 640 pixel size restriction.

Beautiful car, but I like the sense that it may have been shot in the period of the auto itself... I like the muted colors. 8

Very much like the vintage illustrated ads of the era in style and feel...this is awesome. A real sense of depth and dimension to this as well. The only way to improve this is if the people looked vintage...damn people should learn how to dress properly! BOC, by a long shot!!!

Good grief...how can I not favorite this!

THERE!!! It's about time I see the full car when shooting the oldies. Processing is great and the image is outstanding. Only thing I wish wasn't there was the people in the BG. You should have edited them out of the scene.

Great image of the car itself which looks like it could be taken directly from a magazine from the 50's or 60's. Love the slightly muted colours which help accentuate the 'aged' feeling

Bit of a shame about the people in the background who are a bit distracting and anomalous in terms of the image, but I guess there is not a lot you could do about them

Good move on the desaturating slightly, I'm tossed up on the wiper position, but it's not terminal....the people are a little distracting, but an overall good image.

nice shot and i like the choice of old fashioned shot, to compliment the car. And people somehow look like they all want the car ..hehe. Maybe a wide angle, or lower crop would do better? It looks like there is too much empty space above the people (IMO)

Very effective old-time colouring. I thought this was a model car at first, but they look like realy people in the background. There's a wierd perspective thing going on here. The photo looks fine, but it makes the border and the webpage look skewed.

good location and color processing. had cropped to landscape (below the upper windows and a bit off the bottom)

Very nice shoot. I love the color composition and interaction of the sidewalk spectators. A very believable car ad. -7-

I love the vintage look and feel here, it's effective yet subtle. The onlookers in umbrellas adds to the "I wanna get that car" sentiment. However, the building in the background looks a bit awkward to me. still an awesome photo though. 9

Awesome shot, the background is cool, and good choice to desaturate.
